Push-in terminations for PCB-based LED lighting and low-profile electronics

Farnell element14 has added to its interconnect portfolio with new SMD terminal blocks from Wago, a leader in electrical connection technology. The terminal blocks, with proprietary CAGE CLAMP S connection, provide push-in termination suitable for PCB-based LED lighting and installation in low-profile electronics designs. Steve Herd, global product director, connectors, Premier Farnell said: “We are pleased to expand our range of Wago products for our customers who seek the newest connectors for product development and production. Existing designs can also be easily upgraded as these series are compatible with standardized PCB layouts.” The Wago 2061 and 2060 series SMD terminal blocks, available in 1-, 2- and 3-pole variants, feature a height of just 4.5mm or 5.6mm which minimizes on-board LED shadowing, while delivering a higher degree of mechanical strength and on-board stability when the push-buttons are used. The 2060 series is ideal for higher rated voltage up to 630V, says the company.
