Phoenix Contact has released its first pluggable surge protective device
that mounts directly in a standard load centre in place of two 1-inch
circuit breakers.
Available now from Mouser, the Surge Shield - VAL-SQ NP is a high-energy
suppression circuit that provides 32kA of surge current protection per
phase. The shield is designed to protect small businesses and residential
homes from damage sustained by common surge events. Surge Shield is suitable
for split-phase 120/240VAC applications with common neutral and ground. The
product is UL 1449 3rd edition classified.
