Plastic enclosures designed specifically for pole mounted electronics are now available from Rolec. The company's technoPLUS range features a dedicated bracket for horizontal or vertical mounting on poles, masts and similar street furniture.
The technoPLUS enclosures are built to withstand exposed outdoor locations. They are rated to IP66 (IP67 optional) and moulded from UV stable ASA Luran (UL 94 HB).
Each enclosure is pre-moulded with screw ports for the mounting bracket so no machining is needed. They can be installed ‘lid closed’ to help protect the electronics inside.
Retaining straps hold the recessed lid in place if it does need to be opened - useful when the enclosures have to be installed at height or in other difficult locations. Hinged lid trims conceal the fixing screws to deter tampering and to provide further protection again the weather.
The enclosures are available in five sizes ranging from 130mm x 90mm x 70mm to 270mm x 170mm x 90mm. The standard colour is light grey (RAL 7035). Custom colours are available on request.
Accessories include a pole/mast attachment and an internal mounting bracket. The enclosures can be customised with CNC milling and drilling of cut-outs; bespoke colours; silk screen printing and engraving of legends and logos; EMC shielding; assembly of components, says the company.
