Affordable RF signal generator meets wireless design and manufacturing needs

Suitable for product design, testing and manufacturing, the Tektronix TSG4100A series of vector signal generators (VSGs) is now available from Farnell element14. With the drive towards more affordable test solutions which still meet demanding requirements in wireless design and manufacturing the TSG4100A combines an RF signal generator and a vector signal generator (VSG). It can be easily upgraded in the field to deliver more advanced vector and digital modulation capabilities. The TSG4100A series includes three models with carrier frequencies from DC to 2GHz, 4GHz and 6GHz respectively and offers a wide variety of modulation capabilities. Modes include amplitude modulation (AM), frequency modulation (FM), phase modulation (FM), and pulse modulation. Units can be software upgraded to support VSG applications. With the vector upgrade, the TSG4100A series offers full support for vector signal modulation on RF carriers between 400MHz and 6GHz. The TSG4100A can be used together with the USB-based RSA306 spectrum analyzer, MDO4000B and MDO3000 mixed domain oscilloscopes.
