Featuring over four million micromirrors, the high-resolution Texas
Instruments (TI) DLP90000.9 WQXGA digital micromirror device (DMD) is a
spatial light modulator (SLM) that modulates the amplitude direction, and/or
phase of incoming light.
The device's advanced light-control technology has numerous applications in
the industrial, medical, and consumer markets. The DLP9000 enables bigger
build sizes and fine resolution for 3D printing applications. The high
resolution has the direct benefit of scanning larger objects for 3D machine
vision applications. Reliable function and operation of the DLP9000 requires
that it be used in conjunction with two DLPC900 digital controllers. This
dedicated chipset provides a robust, high resolution WQXGA, and high-speed
system solution.
