Wurth Elektronik's WCAP-PSHP series SMD aluminium polymer capacitors are now
available from Farnell element14. They contain solid conductive polymer
instead of wet aluminium electrolytic, with ESR values below 10mohm.
The WCAP-PSHP series is the outcome of a general trend among aluminium
capacitor manufacturers to develop new polymer alternatives that offer
customers a variety of new options, i.e. higher permissible ripple current
due to lower ESR at high frequencies, higher long-term stability and
lifetime, and no drying-out issues. Reflow soldering is recommended, says
the company.
