Low-profile high-current inductors with e-field shield suit auto needs

Vishay/Dale IHLE-4040DC-5A Series automotive-grade high-current low-profile SMD inductors are now available from Mouser stock. The devices feature an integrated e-shield, when connected to ground which provides up to -20dB EMI reduction at 1cm. Cost and board space savings occur by eliminating the need for separate shielding. Vibration protection is provided via the four-terminal connection with =100µm coplanarity. Additionally, a high-temperature operation up to +155C and AEC-Q200 compliance make the IHLE-4040DC-5A Series ideal for DC-DC converter energy storage and high-current filtering for automotive applications. The inductor provides high resistance to thermal shock, moisture, and mechanical shock.
