Rugged high-density 20W DC-DC converters set new standard

Artesyn's new generation AXA series high-performance DC-DC converter modules are now available from Farnell element14. The units set a new standard in power density and are ideal for rugged applications, says the company. The modules offer a full 20W in a shielded metal package with dimensions of just 2.5cm x 2.5cm x 1cm. All models provide ultra-wide 4:1 input voltage range and tight output voltage regulation. Due to its state-of the-art circuit topology, the AXA series provides a very high efficiency of up to 89%, enabling an operating temperature range of -40C to +85C. The modules also feature remote on/off, trimmable output voltage, overload protection and over-temperature protection.
