Available now from Farnell element14, Silicon Labs' EFM32 Zero Gecko is the
newest member of the Gecko family of ultra-low power and energy-friendly
32-bit microcontrollers. The Zero Gecko combines the powerful ARM
Cortex-M0+ core, innovative low-energy techniques, short wake-up time from
energy saving modes and a wide selection of peripherals, making it ideal for
battery operated applications and other systems requiring high performance
and low energy consumption.
Also available, is the EFM32ZG-STK3200 starter board, which provides an
ideal tool to get familiar with the EFM32. It is supported by Simplicity
Studio and contains sensors and peripherals that demonstrate some of the
MCU's many capabilities and can serve as a starting point for application
development. The EFM32ZG-STK3200 features an on-board SEGGER J-Link debugger
and an Advanced Energy Monitoring system, allowing you to program, debug and
perform real-time current profiling of your application without using
external tools.
Power sources include USB and a CR2032 battery. The starter kit also
features two user buttons, two user LEDs, two capacitive touch pads, an
ultra-low power 128 x 128 pixel Memory-LCD and crystals for LFXO and HFXO:
32.768kHz and 24.000MHz.
