Wide input range 10W DC-DC converters in compact industry-standard packages

Power Sources Unlimited (PSU) now offers Traco Power's the 10W THL 10 and THL 10WI Series of cost-to-performance optimized DC-DC converters in industry-standard 1 x 1 x 0.4 inch packages. The THL 10 has a wide input voltage range of 2:1 and the THL10WI has an ultra-wide input voltage range of 4:1. Both series offer single and dual precisely regulated output voltages. High efficiency across the load range makes the units reliable over an operating temperature range of –40C to +80C (up to +85C with a heat sink). They are ideal for extreme temperature conditions. Typical applications are in mobile equipment, instrumentation, distributed power architectures in communication and industrial electronics and especially where space on the PCB is critical, says the ompany. Packaged in a shielded metal case with insulated baseplate, standard features include 1500VDC I/O isolation, remote on/off, over-load, under-voltage shut down and short-circuit protection. An internal EMI-filter to meet EN55022, class A without external components for conducted noise comes standard. UL/cUL 60950-1, IEC/EN 60950-1 safety standards. Altitude operation is approved up to 5000m, says the company.
