Designed to halve the tooling and operational costs of plug-and-receptacle power connector systems, Farnell element14 now stocks the Molex Ditto range of wire-to-wire interconnects and pre-assembled harnesses. This enables increased cost savings and operational efficiency of low-amperage consumer and lighting applications. The range is suited to HVAC equipment, home security and appliances, and for solid state lighting applications including displays and signage, and transportation lighting. The genderless Ditto connector system provides a 2.5mm pitch, single housing-and-terminal interconnect solution, which supports low-amperage, 20-26 AWG wire-size applications, and features advantages such as same circuit size configuration which ensures compatibility and mateability; it uses only one preset applicator machine which enables speedy tool setup; the one housing, one terminal interconnect system increases operational efficiency with no change over required - less inventory is needed resulting in higher cost savings; pre-assembled and ready-to-use Ditto pigtail harnesses allow even faster application In addition, Molex Ditto polarized housing geometry prevents mis-mating and friction lock prevents accidental disengagement. Its anti-twist feature ensures proper seating of terminal in the housing.
