Now available from Farnell element14, the Metz Connect SP06 range of
pluggable spring clamp connectors allow users to make rapid and reliable
wiring installations.
Proprietary 'Push In' technology allows solid core cables and stranded
cables with ferrules to be inserted directly in to the connector without the
need for any tools. In addition to the huge time saving that can be achieved
in this process, the spring clamp technology also offers a connection that
is resistant to vibration and therefore 'maintenance-free'.
Available in 3.5mm, 3.81mm, 5mm, and 5.08mm pitches and from 2 poles - 12
poles, the connectors accept conductor sizes from 0.08sqmm up to 2.5sqmm.
Customised solutions with individual pole printing and different coloured
options are available.
For applications where increased levels of vibration are present or
additional connector security is required, the SP06 series offers options
with a 'screw flange'. The screw on either side of the connector offers
additional retention to the mating PCB header to ensure that the connector
cannot be accidentally disconnected.
The range of mating PCB Headers is available in top and side entry versions
with or without the screw flange. Also available in 2-12 pole versions these
products are available in two options. They are suitable for wave solder
process or for through-hole reflow (THR) solder process. The THR PCB Headers
meet the IPC/JEDEC J-STD-020D-MSL1 standard and can be supplied in tape on
reel, says the company.
