High-end vandal-proof piezo switches offer IP68 and IP69K protection

Expanding its high-end vandal-proof switches offering, Farnell element14 now stocks Bulgin's new line of IP68 and IP69K rated piezo switches. Available in either aluminium or stainless steel, they have no moving mechanical parts, making them extremely resilient and capable of enduring millions of actuations, offering long-life operation in even the harshest environments. The switch's robust one-piece construction ensures resistance to physical impact and extreme temperatures from -40C to +85C can be accommodated, while environmental sealing assures weatherproof and waterproof operation. The switches have been carefully designed to withstand the most arduous uses, including heavy industry, electronics, public transport, military and defence, marine and food processing. They are available with a 16mm, 19mm or 22mm hole diameters, ratings up to 24V / 1A and with momentary and latching functionality. Illumination options are also available.
