TTI Europe now stocks the new FRED Pt recovery rectifiers from Vishay. With
their high speed and soft recovery characteristics, low leakage current, and
low forward voltage drop of 0.93V, the components reduce switching losses
and over-dissipation in automotive and telecom applications, e.g. DC-DC
converters in engine control units (ECU), antilock braking systems (ABS),
LED lighting and telecom DC-DC bricks.
The AEC-Q101-qualified FRED Pt ultrafast recovery rectifiers come in the
low-profile SlimSMA package, feature forward currents of up to 3A and a fast
reverse recovery time down to 25ns. Further technical details include an
operating junction temperature of up to +175C, a reverse voltage of 100V and
200V, and a MSL moisture level of 1 per J-STD-020, LF maximum peak of +260C.
Fully RoHS compliant and halogen free, the devices meet the JESD 201 class 2
whisker test, are ideal for automated placement and allow for automated
optical inspection (AOI) in automotive systems, says the company.
