Kemet's family of aluminium electrolytic capacitors which now includes the
ALC10 Series of snap-in capacitors up to 550VDC is now available from
Farnell element14. The parts are ideal for high ripple current applications
and offer a high surge voltage capability and long-life performance, says
the company.
The extended temperature range of -40C to +85C allows increased ripple
currents at lower temperatures and an operational life, of up to 18,000
hours at +85C (VR, IR applied).
The ALC10 Series also reduces ESR by up to 30% and its robust nature makes
it suitable for industrial and commercial applications requiring high
reliability, including frequency converters, uninterruptible power supply
(UPS) systems and switch mode power supplies (SMPS).
