Now available from Farnell element14, the Kemet organic capacitor (KO-CAP)
is a solid electrolytic device with a conductive polymer cathode capable of
delivering very low ESR and improved capacitance retention at high
frequencies.
Combining the low ESR of multilayer ceramic, the volumetric efficiency of
tantalum and the high capacitance of aluminium electrolytic into a single
surface-mount package, the KO-CAP capacitor is capable of delivering
improved capacitance retention and very low ESR at higher frequencies, with
a long operational life and high ripple current capabilities.
Due to selected material upgrades and enhancements to the design compared to
previous generations, the T591 is the first KO-CAP capable of 500 hours of
stable performance at 85C/85% RH/VR, delivering higher capacitance and ESC
stability even in the harshest environmental conditions.
