New 10mW green laser diode features output power of 10mW at 515-530nm

ProPhotonix has announced an extension to its range of green laser diodes with the Osram PLT5 510. The PLT5 510 has an output power of 10mW at 515-530nm, and is offered in a compact TO56 package. The PLT5 510 offers an ideal solution for applications such as targeting, display, biomedical applications and metrology. The new green laser diode provides a competitive alternative to red laser diodes in low power applications, offering improved visibility to the human eye at equivalent power levels and an opportunity to reduce power consumption in lower power applications. The laser diode incorporates a photodiode, offering improved reliability and stability of the output.
