RoHS compliant S-band fixed-frequency synthesizer

04-02-2016 | Z Comm | Design & Manufacture

Z-Communications has introduced a new RoHS compliant S-band fixed-frequency synthesizer. The SFS3450C-LF is a pre-programmed synthesizer that is phase locked at 3450MHz to an external 10MHz reference oscillator. The low-cost PLL features a typical phase noise of -91 and -104dBc/Hz at the 1kHz and 10kHz offsets, respectively. The SFS3450C-LF is designed to deliver a typical output power of +2dBm while operating off a VCO voltage supply of 5Vdc and drawing 25mA (typical) and a phase locked loop voltage of 3VDC while drawing 11mA (typical). This Fixed Frequency Synthesizer features a typical 2nd harmonic suppression of -15dBc and spurious suppression of -65dBc. It is housed in Z-COMM's standard PLL-V12C package measuring 0.6 x 0.6 x 0.22 inch. The SFS3450C-LF is also ideal for automated surface-mount assembly and is available in tape and reel packaging. The device targets satellite communication applications which require quick and simple integration while demanding high performance over the industrial temperature range of -40C to 85C.
