New 3W DC-DC converters housed in a compact SIP4 package

RECOM’s new 3W DC-DC converter R13 Series offers designers highly-compact and ultra-high power density. Despite their small size, the modules can be operated over a wide temperature range from -40C to +85C without derating. When derated down to 60% power, the modules can achieve up to +100C operating temperature. Housed in a compact SIP4 case (11.5mm x 10.2mm x 7.6mm), almost the size of a coffee bean – the converters are ideal for applications where space is limited. The converters have an operating efficiency up to 90% and can be operated down to 0% load. The great multitude combinations of input voltages (5, 12, 15, or 24VDC), output voltages (5, 9, 12, or 15VDC) and an I/O isolation of 1, 2, or 3kVDC make these converters perfect for virtually any industrial application. The modules additionally feature an integrated input filter (in accordance to EN 55022 class A) and do not require additional components, says the company.
