Compact new 30W / 40W DC-DC converters offer ultra-wide input range

Power Sources Unlimited (PSU) now supplies Semiconductor Circuits' highly-efficient 30W (CP30) and 40W (CP400 Series DC-DC converters with ultra-wide 2:1 and 4:1 input ranges. Available in open-frame or optional encapsulated package the CP30 and CP40 Series are seen as ideal for industrial, telecom, instrumentation, data processing and networking applications. Measuring 25.4mm x 25.4mm x 10.2mm the units are compliant with the industry-standard footprint. Units offer single-output voltages of 3.3, 5, 12 and 15VDC along with a wide operating temperature range of -40C to +85C (w/ derating). Standard features include fixed-frequency operation, auto-restart over-voltage, over-current and over-temperature protection, under-voltage lockout and ±10% output voltage trim. Remote On/Off is standard with positive or negative logic options available. Modules can also be ordered without enable pin, trim pin or with neither. Both series are RoHS II Directive 2011/65/EU compliant, meet UL/EN 60950 requirements and are UL94 V-0 flammability rated. Units are through-hole mount to suit typical PCB assembly processes, says the company.
