29-07-2016 | Farnell element14 | Design & Manufacture

Available from Farnell element14, the Texas Instruments MSP430FR2633 is an easy-to-use platform to evaluate MSP-430FR2633 microcontroller with CapTIvate touch technology for applications such as self-capacitance, mutual-capacitance, gesture and proximity sensing. Captivate technology provides the highest resolution capacitive-touch solution in the market with high reliability and noise immunity at the lowest power. The kit contains the MSP430FR2633-based processor board, a programmer/debugger board with EnergyTrace technology to measure energy consumption with the Code Composer Studio IDE, and sensor boards for evaluating self-capacitance, mutual capacitance, gesture and proximity sensing. MSP MCUs with CapTIvate technology are the industry’s lowest power capacitive touch MCUs with 10Vrms noise immunity and support for dirt-proof, glove-friendly designs. Typical applications include thermostats, electronic access control, lighting control, electronic door locks, white goods, small appliances and personal electronics.
