Latest from Littelfuse is a new series of AEC-Q101 qualified transient voltage suppression (TVS) Diodes designed specifically to protect sensitive automotive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by load dump and other transient voltage events.
The TPSMF4L Series devices offer 400W of peak pulse power dissipation in a compact surface-mount flat-lead SOD-123FL plastic package with a height profile of just 0.98mm.
TPSMF4L Series TVS Diodes are particularly suitable for DC power protection and ESD protection in automotive electronics such as electronic control units, sensors, entertainment systems, and body control modules (BCMs), and for portable devices that require high reliability such as hard drives, notebooks, VCC busses, POS terminals, SSDs, power supplies, monitors and other consumer applications.
“The TPSMF4L Series brings a unique combination of advantages to automotive electronics protection,” said Charlie Cai, TPSMF4L Series product manager. “In addition to its AED-Q101 qualification, it offers circuit designers a very small footprint, a low height profile, and high power rating of 400W, so it’s ideal for applications that require lots of protection in a small space.”
