Compact and economical new 8W DC-DC converters offer versatility

Power Sources Unlimited now offers the Traco TEL 8 series of isolated 8W DC-DC converters which are housed in a compact DIP-16 metal package. They are an economical solution for space-critical and cost-sensitive applications in instrumentation, IT and industrial electronics. Offering a 2:1 wide input voltage range along with a high efficiency of up to 86% allows an operating temperature range of -40C to +70C without derating (+70C to 80C with 5%/K derating). The TEL 8 series is available in both single 3.3, 5, 12, 15, 24VDC and dual ±12 and ±15VDC output voltages. Standard features include overload and short circuit protection, fully regulated outputs and 1500VDC I/O isolation. An input filter makes the converters comply with conducted emission EN 55022 Class A and EN 61000-4-6 ESD immunity standard.
