High-temperature multilayer varistors operate to 150C

Stackpole's ZVY Series of multilayer varistors is capable of operating temperatures of up to 150C. Most multilayer varistors currently available are only able to operate up to 125C. This higher temperature range makes the ZVY capable of voltage protection for low-voltage electronics in a wider range of environments including industrial electronics and engine controls, says the company. Other applications include ASIC inputs, controllers, medical devices / instrumentation, audio circuitry, preamps, security systems, LCDs, optics and opto-isolators.
