Aimed at harsh industrial environments, the RAC20-N is a new PCB-mounting modular converter from RECOM. Housed in a compact 2 x 1 inch package, the AC/DC converter is equipped with a universal input for 90-264VAC, and is pin-compatible with RAC05-SC, RAC06-SC, RAC10-SC and RAC20-SB models for an easy power upgrade or reduced-cost version without other alterations to the PCB. The 20W unit is Class II protected, has 3.3, 5, 12, 15 and 24VDC outputs, and operates at efficiency rates of up to 83%. The module's low open-circuit power consumption of less than 0.25W complies with the ErP ecodesign directive, and robust construction is suitable for use at a wide range of temperatures from -40C to +70C. Press-insert nuts ensure secure and vibration-free installation to withstand hard impacts and vibration in harsh operating environments. The module is intended for industrial applications as well as testing and measuring systems and portable units. The CE-marked module features short-circuit, over-load and over-voltage protection as well as electromagnetic compatibility according to EN55022 Class B and is certified according to IEC, UL and EN60950-1, says the company.
