The WTP 90, 90W, 24V soldering pencil, available from Farnell element14, has a passive tip system allowing for quick exchange of heating elements when iron is hot, as the tip replacement is independent of the heating element.
Automatic standby mode operates from a sensor in the handle which detects when the device is in use. There are optional new high-mass soldering tips for maximum performance, which gives more efficient heat transfer and smoother operation.
