Semi-shielded power inductors designed for automotive applications

Bourns SRN4018TA Series semi-shielded power inductors, available from Mouser, provide effective magnetic shielding with lower radiation compared to non-shielded inductors. These inductors also offer reduced cost to comparably-sized conventional ferrite shield inductors. The series is primarily designed for automotive electronics applications and is AEC-Q200 qualified. Typical automotive application areas for these inductors are driver assistant devices, information/entertainment systems, lighting, and other applications including DC-DC converters and power supplies. Although primarily designed for automotive applications, the series is well suited for consumer, industrial, medical, telecom and other applications where higher inductor reliability is required.
