Now available from Review Display Systems is the new slim ONYX OMB-M228, a medical grade CPU. It is based on the 14nm technology 6th Generation Intel Skylake-U Core i series ultra-low power high performance processor, this board has been further enhanced with EMI pre-scan to guarantee UL/EN60601-1-2 compliance making it ideal for medical applications.
Designed to operate at +12VDC to +24VDC the low-profile board has two SO DIMM sockets supporting up to 16GB DDR4 SDRAM and includes high-end graphics for 4K and 2K resolution screens. Hi speed data transfer is possible with two USB 3.1 ports and 4 USB 3.0 ports. Card slots available are 1 PCIe x4, 1 PCIe x1, an M2 and a half size Mini card slot. The two PCIe card slots unusually are mounted horizontally and not as vertical ports, which is the standard. Mounting these slots horizontally means that a low profile is possible without compromising the connectivity.
