Aerco has increased investment in its value-added manufacturing capabilities that further enhance its range of services and increase the level of commitment to its UK customers. The company has been a major supplier of Smiths Interconnect advanced technology connector brands for some years, and has now increased its stock holding of Smiths Hypertac HPD, HPF and HPH ranges of high-reliability PCB connectors to over £500,000. The company offers an extensive range of assembly services at its Sussex facility and now offer a less than two-week delivery with no minimum order quantity. Smiths Hypertac HPD, HPF and HPH ranges are designed for use in multiple applications, particularly harsh, demanding environments where high reliability and safety are critical, including defence, aerospace, marine, rail and industrial. They feature their Interconnect’s proven hyperboloid technology, an advanced contact design where the shape of the contact sleeve is formed by hyperbolically arranged contact wires which align themselves elastically as contact lines around the pin, ensuring continuous contact even in conditions of extreme shock and vibration. The inherent electrical and mechanical characteristics of hyperboloid contacts delivers outstanding performance in terms of number of mating cycles (over 5,000), high current ratings, low contact force and minimal contact resistance.
