New AC/DC converters for medical applications

RECOMs new RACM18 and RACM30 AC/DC converters were designed for medical PCB designs, which require full certifications and energy efficient AC/DC modules. For that reason they are certified to the latest IEC/EN60601 medical standards, as well as the EN60335 household and the IEC/EN60950 ITE standards. The sturdy electronic circuitry and IP68 waterproof encapsulation withstand harsh operating conditions and make them highly reliable. The series comprise reliable and highly efficient power conversion modules for versatile uses in household, medical and industrial applications. They meet the requirements of high-risk medical applications, where very high standards of safety and reliability must be fulfilled. The modules take up less than 2”x2” on the PCB and their small round shape design also enables them to be fitted into flush mount wall installations. With a certified operation up to 5000m altitude and temperature ranges from -20C up to +80C, they are built to power compact applications in household, medical healthcare, smart building, sanitary, and automation appliances. For simple integration the series are covered by the latest medical, household and ITE certifications and they pass Class B with at least 6dB below the limits without the need for any external components.
