Available now at Aerco, Honeywell’s new Aerospace Linear Variable Differential Transformers (LVDT) in Single Channel, Dual Parallel and Dual Tandem Series. The LVDT is designed for next-gen harsh-environment aircraft applications, providing infinite resolution linear position solutions for design engineers who need to reduce design cycle time and assist speed to market.
The LVDT is a pre-validated, configurable platform approach that provides continuous position monitoring: single channel, dual channel and dual tandem products in this range accommodate a wide variety of configurations and applications, including engines, flight controls, nose wheel steering and pilot controls, plus others. The LVDTs reduce installation time thanks to rig point position, which removes the need to shim during installation. Enhanced reliability is ensured through industry-leading design and winding techniques and high strength materials, which reduce MTBF. The LVDTs have a minimum life cycle of one million hours MTBF.
Technical specifications include accuracy of ±0.5% of the full stroke gain from 0% to 100% of the LVDT stroke @ 21C; normal operating pressure 2,000psi; vibration 60G @5Hz to 2000Hz. Current consumption is 11mA maximum.
