New three-phase MOSFET driver IC with on-board regulator

05-01-2018 | Allegro | Power

Allegro MicroSystems has a new three-phase MOSFET driver IC with integrated low dropout regulator supplying 5V or 3.3V. The company's A4919 is designed for a broad range of industrial applications. The device can be controlled with sinusoidal, block (trapezoidal), or vector commutation when interfaced with an MPU. The device is designed to be a simple, direct control gate driver for both the industrial and commercial markets providing LDO for peripherals or an MPU and provide total flexibility over commutation. The device is supplied in a 28-pin TSSOP power package (package type LP) and a 28-terminal 5mm × 5mm × 0.9mm (QFN package) both with an exposed pad for enhanced thermal performance. Both packages are lead (Pb) free, with 100% matt-tin leadframe plating (suffix T).
