Test & Measurement
Saelig Company offers the Triarchy Techologies VSA6G2A Vector Spectrum Analyzer - an inexpensive USB RF tool that plugs into the USB port of a PC and is managed with the provided PC application software. It allows almost all of the functionality of a benchtop spectrum analyzer. The device's frequency range is from 100Hz to 6.2GHz, with an amplitude measurement range of -140dBm to 24dBm. The RBW (resolution bandwidth) range is from 0.2Hz to 10MHz and the noise level (DANL) is as low as -140dBm.
The device is very small (4" x 1" x 1") and simple to use. The software user interface has been created to resemble the front panel of a conventional desktop spectrum analyzer, enabling users to use the application intuitively without a steep learning curve. Touch screen support is also offered, making the device quick to operate.
Weighing only 3.5oz and powered from a PC's USB port, the device is ideal for installation and field test since it can be simply slipped into a laptop bag and used for monitoring RF signals in temperatures from -10dC to +50C. It is further suitable for use in benchtop EMC testing with near-field antennas.
