Toshiba Memory Europe has launched the RC100 Series at International CES 2018, a new line of NVMe, M.2 SSDs for the retail, e-tail, system integrator, and channel markets. The new RC100 series features a powerful yet cost-effective design, making NVMe storage accessible to everyone.
Starting with the company’s state-of-the-art 64-layer, 3-bit-per-cell TLC (triple-level cell) BiCS FLASH and in-house developed SSD controller in a single package, the device was built to give consumers a viable alternative to more expensive high-end NVMe SSDs. In addition to affordability, the SSDs are designed for efficiency, delivering a power-optimised storage solution particularly sought after by mobile users looking to increase battery life.
Ideal for the complete spectrum of mainstream computing - from notebooks and gaming desktops to mini-PCs, and everything in between - the modules are offered in a compact M.2 2242 (22mm x 42mm) form factor and available in 120GB, 240GB, and 480GB capacities. Each SSD is backed by a three-year warranty to ensure peace of mind.
