Power amplifier IC adopting pure MOS for car audio in surface-mount package

Toshiba Electronics Europe offers a new high sound quality, low distortion, surface mount four-channel power ICs for automotive applications. The new TCB001FNG is based on a pure complementary MOS process that is formed on the company's car audio IC research and development, and helps reduce cost. The device has a maximum output power of 45W in a four-channel system into a 4Ohm load. The supply can vary from 6V to 18V, allowing operation while the engine is idling or cranking. The complete solution includes in-built functionality such as standby, mute, offset detection and short detection.
