TDK Corporation has introduced the TDK-Lambda brand 15W and 30W rated CCG-D dual output DC-DC converters. Similar to the single output CCG15-S and CCG30-S, the products have the industry standard 1" x 1" footprint and can operate over a wide 4:1 input range. The series is intended for use in a large number of applications, including industrial control, communications, test and measurement, broadcast and portable battery powered equipment.
The eight new CCG-D models are offered with ±12VDC or ±15VDC output voltages and can provide currents of up to ±1.25A. Two wide input voltage ranges of 9VDC to 36VDC or 18VDC to 76VDC decreases the number of model numbers that need to be stocked; providing for inventory reduction and improved product availability.
With efficiencies of up to 92%, the CCG-D series operates in ambient temperatures of -40C to +85C and has a maximum case temperature of +110C. All models have remote on-off, over-current and over-voltage protection, and carry a five-year warranty. Enclosed in a metal case with six-sided shielding, the series has low radiated and conducted emissions.
The converters are fully-isolated with an input to output isolation of 1,500VDC and 1,000VDC input or output to case. Safety certification comprises IEC/EN 60950-1, IEC/EN 62368-1, UL/CSA 60950-1, UL/CSA 62368-1 with CE marking for the Low Voltage and RoHS2 Directives.
