Evaluation kit for Bluetooth SIG-compliant mesh

Mouser now supplies the EZ-BT Mesh Evaluation kit from Cypress Semiconductor. The battery or USB-powered kit enables designers to evaluate the Bluetooth SIG mesh networking functionality of the CYBT-213043-02 EZ-BT WICED module.

The kit contains four evaluation boards that enable engineers to evaluate a mesh network with only one kit. Each board comprises the fully certified CYBT-213043-02 EZ-BT module; thermistor, ambient light sensor, and PIR motion sensor; micro-USB connector; coin cell battery holder; and onboard programmer and USB-UART bridge.

The module is based on an ultra-low-power and highly integrated CYW20819 dual-mode Bluetooth 5.0-qualified device. The device’s low power and integration ability meet the demands of both battery and wall-powered applications that need Bluetooth Low Energy mesh, such as sensor nodes, lighting, asset tracking, locks, and other smart home applications.

Engineers can program the CYBT-213043-MESH EZ-BT Mesh Evaluation kit in v1.1 or later of the ModusToolbox IDE. ModusToolbox incorporates several demo code examples that assist engineers to speedily implement real-life mesh applications.
