High power infrared emitters ideal for restricted height applications

Lumileds LUXEON IR 2720 High Power Infrared Emitters, available now from Mouser, are intended for surveillance/closed circuit, machine vision, and biometric identification devices.

These emitters produce high radiant power of up to 1300mW at a 940nm wavelength or 1250mW at 850nm wavelength. These devices offer high efficacy and a 120-degree beam angle. The emitters' 2.75mm x 2mm package has a two-pad configuration that makes it compatible for direct upgrades to current designs. The emitters are undomed and particularly beneficial for applications with package height limitations that stop the use of domed solutions.

The device has 1A forward current, 3.35V forward voltage and offers an operating temperature range between -40C to +105C.
