Low-cost converters ideal for variety of industrial automation control equipment

The RECOM-Power R2SX series of compact 2W DC-DC converters are ideal for bus isolation and a broad variety of industrial automation control equipment. Their low profile and compact footprint save space in a PCB design.

The device is an open-frame 2W SMD isolated DC-DC converter with either 3kVDC/1 minute isolation (/H version) or 1kVDC/1 minute isolation options. The modules are offered with 5V or 24V inputs, providing a single unregulated 3.3V, 5V, 15V, or 24V output and can reach up to 86% efficiency. There is no minimum load demand and the efficiency remains high over a broad 20% to 100% load range. The operating temperature is from -40C up to +75C at full load, and up to +100C with derating. The converters are fully certified to IEC/EN/UL62368-1 and are 10/10 RoHS-conform. A simple, low-cost LC filter is all that is required for Class B EMC compliance.
