Multicolour module offers high-intensity RBG LED in small footprint

Mouser now stocks the LUXEON MultiColor Module 0.5W from Lumileds. Providing a high luminous intensity of reds, greens and blues with consistent colour, the 3.5mm x 3.7mm water-resistant LED module is excellent for video and display walls, landscape lighting, and other illumination designs.

The module integrates a 3-in-1 RGB LED in a standard 3535 PLCC6 package. The module offers reliable and flexible colour options, enabling engineers to control each channel individually or all at once. The module provides high luminous intensity of red light (1,000mcd), green light (2,300mcd), and blue light (500mcd) at 20mA drive current, with a typical Vf of 2.1V, 2.8V, and 3V, respectively.

Offering dominant wavelengths of 625nm (red), 530nm (green), and 478nm (blue), the compact module has a black matte surface, a flat light-emitting surface, and an IPX8-rated design for a diversity of lighting environments.
