LEDs enable high-flux narrow-spotlight retail designs

Mouser is now stocking Osram Opto Semiconductors' Oslon Pure 1010 LEDs. Contained in an exceptionally small 1mm x 1mm real chip scale package, the LEDs provide a top-emitting surface with a 120-degree viewing angle perfect for high-end retail lighting, customised chip-on-board designs, and small luminaire designs with narrow spotlight demands.

The LEDs offer scalable lighting design for compact spaces in one of the smallest form factors achievable. The light-emitting surface is contained within the component itself with no need for bond wires. The lack of bond wires — coupled with the small form factor and automotive-grade flip chip die, which provides directional light to exit only from the top surface of the LED package — allows tighter LED clusters and exceptional flexibility in producing custom lighting solutions.

The LEDs have a typical luminous flux of 100lm at 350mA, a colour temperature range of 2700K to 5000K, and a CRI of 80, with CRI90 arriving soon. The number of individual LEDs, their composition and the relative proportions of warm white and cold white LEDs can be altered to satisfy specific lighting demands.
