Low profile reflective object sensor for industrial and medical applications

TT Electronics offers the versatile OPB9001 PCB module for industrial and medical applications. The device incorporates the reflective sensor and removes the requirement for peripheral circuitry like resistors, regulators and capacitors as such functionality is combined into its small, robust package.

This reflective sensor is able to detect objects as far away as 50mm utilising standard 90% reflective material as well as objects as tiny as 2.5mm depending on the object distance. The device is able to be programmed to recognise various distances inside its reflective range.

All analog signal conditions are included in sensor’s integrated IC and PCB assembly. Also, the device is easily mounted on PCBs and panels, and furnished with an integrated connector.
