Cinch Connectivity Solutions has added to the Johnson SMPM product line. The new coax connector, an SMPM Male – Full Detent, Solder End Launch, is created for very high-frequency applications where space is limited, and package density are critical.
The company’s SMPM connectors are 30% smaller than SMP connectors. The SMPM interface provides better performance from DC up to 65GHz and is compatible with all SMPM and GPPO connectors. As a Straddle Mount style, it supports a 0.063” board thickness, with tighter tolerance spacing of 0.066”, assuring a snug fit to the PCB. These SMPM connectors provide high electrical reliability where severe shock and vibration conditions are anticipated. This family of connectors and adapters are intended to offer the highest quality data transmission for test and measurement equipment, semiconductor ATE test board, and instrumentation test fixture hardware applications.
