Hirose has created the robust ix Industrial series of connectors for space-constrained industrial applications needing high-speed signal transmission up to 10Gbps.
The series decreases installation space by up to 75% in comparison to RJ45 solutions. Supporting CAT5e (1Gbps) and CAT6A (10Gbps) cabling, the series offers an optimised EMI/ESD shielding design for safe and secure data transmission up to 10Gbps.
The series is compliant with IEC/ PAS 61076-3-124. The range features receptacles and plugs with two keying codes for Ethernet and non-Ethernet applications.
The range features two receptacle types. The upright right angle type can be installed in parallel with a pitch distance of only 10mm to preserve space. The vertical type enables the mating plug to be mated from the top providing design flexibility.
The plugs are offered in IDC or solder type. The wire-termination unit and cable clamp are combined into a single plug shell, which stops the connecting part of the cable assembly from being affected by the load on the cable.
Suitable applications for the series include factory automation controllers, industrial robotics, servo amplifiers, programmable logic controllers, servers, security systems and others.
