Compact power line EMC filter family for lighting equipment

Schaffner has introduced a new single-phase EMC filter. With a 350VAC rating, the filter can be employed in typical single-phase applications (120VAC and 230VAC), or industrial applications when using phase to neutral voltage off three-phase power. As an example: 480VAC P-P/277VAC P-N and 600VAC P-P/347VAC P-N.

The new parts are extremely compact and are created specifically for lighting applications with enhanced EMC performance at target frequencies along with an extended operational temperature range.

The filters have all the needed safety approvals (UL, CSA, ENEC and CQC) and are compliant to REACH and RoHS directives.
