Low ESL MLCC for automotive applications

Murata's NFM series, available now from TTI Europe, is the most fitting low ESL capacitors for noise measurement and power decoupling of powertrain and safety equipment.

Due to its equivalent series inductance which is low and displays excellent characteristics at high frequency, this capacitor is ideal for power supply decoupling of high-speed operation electronic equipment.

The employment of three-terminal low-ESL chip multilayer ceramic capacitors to decouple the power lines of processors has increased in the automotive market due to demand for high-performance processors and smaller electronics. This has accompanied the increase in high-functioning multitasking onboard equipment such as ADAS, preventative safety systems for automated vehicles, and in-vehicle infotainment systems.

The device provides for a reduction in the number of components, contributes to noise suppression, and offers compliance with AEC-Q200.
