NXP Semiconductors has announced a new family of 2x2 Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) Dual-Band + Bluetooth/BLE solutions that are pushing a new phase of connectivity innovation for advanced gaming, audio, industrial and IoT markets. Enabling the world’s first Wi-Fi 6 enabled gaming console, the company's optimised IW62X family of products provide improved capacity, efficiency and performance for next-generation connectivity solutions including smart consumer IoT hubs, video-enabled smart devices, augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR) devices, wireless speakers and a galaxy of further IoT applications.

Driving the future of consumer and industrial IoT the company's family of solutions bring a boost in speed, and a 4x increase in network capacity and a 2x increase in bandwidth over past generations of Wi-Fi. This increased capacity with less latency supports a particularly higher numbers of users and devices connected to a network or gateway.
