RS Components now provides the Eaton X10 range of industrial sounders and sounder beacons as part of its extensive range of industrial signalling equipment. These devices are rugged in construction and flexible in design – making them just as at home in a smart factory or the harshest operating environment. Whether the signalling application is new build or retrofit, the range provides high reliability and long service life. All devices are supplied with a 10-year warranty.
The range of sounders and sounder beacons is rated to IP69 and developed to give clear and dependable audio-visual indications in the most challenging industrial environments. They can be incorporated into a wider automation system or employed as standalone signalling devices. Typical applications incorporate washdown/jet wash and steam cleaning areas in food processing, and areas exposed to extreme weather conditions including loading bays, aggregates, construction compounds, and cement production. These sounders and sounder beacons also fit seamlessly into automated industrial systems, where PLCs can be utilised to control the devices for process control line optimisation.
The company's range features an innovative five-joule equivalent LED modular beacon capable of multiple functionalities and has a low start-up surge with a range of dB(A) outputs. Highly flexible, it has a wide voltage range of 10-60VDC and 10-30VAC 115/230VAC and can offer up to a four-stage alarm, with multiple alert and control possibilities for both AC and DC variants.
Specifiers can select from three basic housing sizes – Mini (100dB), Midi (110dB) and Maxi (120dB) – to match application needs. The device housings are constructed of rugged, UV stabilised polycarbonate ASA and are IK08 impact-resistant and dual IP rated to IP66 and IP69K. The Mini and Midi units can function in temperatures between -40C to +70C, while the Maxi can withstand -30C to +70C.
The devices are offered in a selection of four fade-resistant housing colours, and there is also a choice of six different lens colours for the beacons.
