TVS diode arrays provide low capacitance ESD protection

The Littelfuse AQ3102 Series integrates two channels of low capacitance steering diodes and an additional zener diode to protect automotive electronics equipment that may experience destructive ESD. The series is available now from RS Components.

The series can safely absorb repetitive ESD strikes higher than the maximum contact level specified in IEC 61000-4-2 international standard (Level 4, ±8kV contact discharge) with no performance degradation.

The low off-state capacitance makes it excellent for protecting high-speed signal lines, including USB2.0 or USB 3.0 and 1Gb Ethernet with a very low dynamic resistance to shield the most sensitive, state of the art chipsets against ESD transients.

Typical application areas include LCD/PDP TVs, external storages, DVD/Blu-ray Players, set-top boxes, smartphones, ultrabooks/notebooks, digital cameras, portable medical, automotive electronics, and wearable technology.
