With the WE-HCFT 2504, Würth Elektronik has added a model with an especially low overall height to its tried and tested family of THT high-current inductors. The flat wire coil with MnZn core is just 4mm high, claimed to have no standard competitors in the market. Current-carrying capability extends to 33A, delivering one of the highest power density and efficiency within the HCFT family.
The inductor also provides very low DC and AC losses through its optimised wire and core design. In addition, it displays excellent temperature performance across the complete operating temperature range of -40C to +125C.
The device is offered in inductance values of 1µH, 2.2µH, 4.7µH, 6.8µH and 10µH. The device is ideal for use in POL regulators for FPGA/ASIC/GPU, high-efficiency DC-DC converters, high-current switching power supplies, half-bridge and full-bridge converters, forward converters, as well as battery chargers and solar inverters. The product complies with the AEC-Q200 standard.
